The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, will install Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, as the “Okanlomo of Yorubaland” on Saturday.
Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari representing Zamfara West will also be installed as the “Obaloyin of Yorubaland” at the same ceremony.
The prestigious title “Okanlomo” signifies deep affection and importance to the Yoruba people, translating to “the one dear to the hearts of all Yoruba people” or “beloved child”.
The event is scheduled to hold on December 21, 2025, and invitations have been extended to the general public.
