The Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed Wahid Enitan Oshodi as Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Trust Fund Board of Trustees following his nomination by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The confirmation came after the presentation of a screening report by the Chairman of the ad-hoc Committee, Hon. Fatai Mojeed, who conducted the exercise in line with Sections 106 and 192 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

Hon. Mojeed said the committee evaluated Oshodi based on his submitted credentials, personal appearance, performance, and responses to questions during the screening. He noted that Oshodi satisfactorily addressed all concerns raised by lawmakers.
The committee also reviewed past nominations to the position and concluded that Oshodi, a former Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development, is qualified and suitable for the role. As a result, the committee unanimously recommended his confirmation.
The House adopted the report and approved Oshodi’s appointment. Subsequently, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, directed the Clerk of the House, Mr. Olalekan Onafeko, to formally communicate the Assembly’s resolution to Governor Sanwo-Olu.
