Vice President Kashim Shettima is leading Nigeria’s delegation to the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, from January 19 to 23, 2026.
This marks a milestone in Nigeria’s participation, with the Federal Government establishing a dedicated sovereign pavilion, “Nigeria House Davos”, on the Davos Promenade for the first time. The pavilion, a result of a Public-Private Partnership, will serve as a hub for ministerial engagements, investment roundtables, and cultural diplomacy.
Shettima’s arrival followed his visit to Conakry, Guinea, where he represented President Bola Tinubu at President Mamadi Doumbouya’s inauguration. He was received by Ministers Yusuf Tuggar and Jumoke Oduwole, and Nigerian mission officials.
Nigeria will showcase investment opportunities in solid minerals, climate sustainability, agriculture, and creative and digital sectors, highlighting President Tinubu’s economic reforms.
Shettima will present Nigeria’s 2026 economic outlook and participate in sessions on Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing, and biotechnology.
He’ll also hold bilateral meetings with global leaders and investors to deepen partnerships aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
