The Nigerian Army has arrested Hauwa Abulazeez, a 65-year-old woman, for allegedly supplying illicit drugs to Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.
Abulazeez was arrested in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, with 14 compressed blocks of cannabis sativa, weighing approximately 30 kilograms, recovered from her.
According to Sani Uba, media information officer of the Joint Task Force (North-East), Operation Hadin Kai, the suspect sourced the illicit substance from Sarti Baruwa Local Government Area of Taraba State and transported it through established supply routes for onward distribution to terrorists operating in several communities in Borno.
