Prof. Chris M.A. Kwaja is a man driven by a singular passion: building lasting peace in divided societies. As a renowned scholar, policy architect, and global diplomat, he has spent decades navigating the complex corridors of research, governance, and international diplomacy.
Now, he’s taking his expertise to the Senate, seeking to translate his ideas into law.
Kwaja’s journey began at the University of Jos, where he earned his doctorate and lectured on conflict management and peace studies.

His research has taken him to prestigious institutions like CODESRIA, the United Nations University for Peace, and Brown University’s Watson Institute. With over 100 publications, he’s become a respected voice on peace and security in Africa.
As Special Envoy on Peace and Security to Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, Kwaja has been instrumental in shaping peacebuilding initiatives.
He’s worked with the UN, World Bank, and other organizations to design strategies addressing violent extremism and farmer-herder conflicts.
Kwaja’s candidacy for Senate is an extension of his life’s work. He’s not just seeking office; he’s offering a service anchored in knowledge, integrity, and national purpose.
