In a statement issued by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Harper commended the Nigerian Armed Forces for their sustained efforts in combating terrorism in the North East. He particularly praised the achievements recorded under Operation Hadin Kai and reiterated the UK’s readiness to continue providing training support through the British Military Advisory and Training Team (BMATT).

Similarly, Bovecamp said his visit was aimed at identifying potential areas for deeper collaboration, especially in capacity building and regional cooperation initiatives designed to strengthen operational effectiveness against insurgency.

The Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Abdulsalam Abubakar, expressed appreciation for the support received from both the UK and Germany. He noted that training interventions have significantly enhanced the skills and operational proficiency of troops in responding to evolving security threats.

Abubakar further highlighted prospects for expanded cooperation, including technical expertise, equipment provision, and logistics support, describing the partnerships as mutually beneficial in the ongoing counter-insurgency campaign.
