The National Assembly has postponed the resumption of plenary, initially scheduled for February 24, 2026, to allow committees to conclude ongoing budget defence sessions.
The new resumption date is March 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
The postponement aims to enable committees to complete the 2026 budget defence sessions for ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) and government parastatals.
The clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, issued a notice stating that the leadership regrets any inconvenience caused by the postponement.
The budget defence sessions are a crucial part of the National Assembly’s proceedings, and the postponement will allow for their completion.
