CAF Confirms Dates For Champions League Quarterfinals

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the fixtures for the quarterfinals of the CAF Champions League, following the recent draw, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The highlight of the round will see Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis face defending champions Al Ahly SC, with the first leg in Radès and the return leg in Cairo, reigniting one of Africa’s most storied club rivalries.

Other quarterfinal clashes promise high drama. AS FAR of Morocco will take on Egyptian side Pyramids FC, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa will meet Mali’s Stade Malien, while RS Berkane goes up against Sudan’s Al Hilal SC. With just four semifinal spots available, each two-legged tie is expected to be fiercely contested, where even minor errors could be costly.

Quarterfinal Schedule (GMT):

First Legs

  • March 13, 6:00 p.m.: Mamelodi Sundowns vs Stade Malien
  • March 13, 10:00 p.m.: AS FAR vs Pyramids FC
  • March 14, 10:00 p.m.: RS Berkane vs Al Hilal SC
  • March 15, 9:00 p.m.: Espérance Sportive de Tunis vs Al Ahly SC

Second Legs

  • March 21, 4:00 p.m.: Pyramids FC vs AS FAR
  • March 21, 7:00 p.m.: Al Ahly SC vs Espérance Sportive de Tunis
  • March 22, 4:00 p.m.: Al Hilal SC vs RS Berkane
  • March 22, 4:00 p.m.: Stade Malien vs Mamelodi Sundowns

Fans can expect a week of thrilling encounters as Africa’s top clubs battle for a place in the semifinals.
