A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, his wife, Asabe Bashir, and their son, Abdulaziz Malami, in an ongoing case before the court.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik admitted the three defendants to bail in the sum of ₦200 million each, with two sureties in like amount.

As part of the bail conditions, the court ordered that one of the sureties must present title documents of a property located in either Maitama or Asokoro, two high-value districts in Abuja. The defendants were also directed to deposit their international passports with the court.
Justice Abdulmalik further ruled that the defendants should remain in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service until the bail conditions are fully met.
The court subsequently adjourned the case until March 16 for the commencement of trial.
