Nigerian -born American driver Ugo Ugochukwu produced a dominant performance to secure his first Formula 3 win at the 2026 Melbourne Feature Race.

Starting from second on the grid, Ugochukwu briefly dropped to third at Turn 1 but quickly overtook Freddie Slater and Campos Racing teammate Théophile Nael to take the lead. He built a commanding seven-second advantage, though the race ended under a Safety Car, reducing his final margin.
Audi-supported Slater finished second for Trident, while ART Grand Prix rookie Taito Kato earned his maiden podium after Nael, who initially crossed the line third, received a five-second penalty for a false start, dropping him to 12th.

Van Amersfoort Racing’s Bruno del Pino followed up his Sprint Race victory with a fourth-place finish, ahead of ART drivers Maciej Gladysz and Enzo Deligny. AIX Racing’s Brad Benavides and Pedro Clerot impressed by climbing from 18th and 17th to finish seventh and eighth.
Rounding out the top ten were Hitech’s Jin Nakamura and MP Motorsport’s Mattia Colnaghi, both scoring their first F3 points.
The opening weekend of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 season concluded with an exciting Feature Race, setting the tone for the season ahead.
