The Court of Appeal in Abuja is set to deliver judgment on a series of appeals challenging the national elective convention of the Peoples Democratic Party held on November 15 and 16 in Ibadan.
A total of nine appeals have been filed, all contesting the validity of the convention and the leadership decisions that emerged from it.

Several party leaders from opposing factions were present in court ahead of the ruling. Among them were groups led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki and Abdulrahman Mohammed.
The National Secretary of the Mohammed-led National Working Committee, Samuel Anyanwu, was also seen at the court premises exchanging pleasantries with Turaki before proceedings began.
The judgment is expected to address disputes surrounding the outcome and legitimacy of the party’s 2022 convention.
More details are expected as the court delivers its decision.
