The prosecution, led by Akinlolu Kehinde, SAN, requested an adjournment to interface with witnesses, citing recent instructions to take over the case.

The defense counsel, Shuaibu Arua, SAN, did not oppose the request. Justice Joyce Abdulmalik granted the adjournment, citing the need for adequate preparation.

Malami and his son were granted bail in the sum of N200 million each with two sureties in like sum on February 27.

The DSS accused Malami of refusing to prosecute terrorism financiers whose case files were forwarded to his office.
