South Korea and Ghana have signed three agreements to boost cooperation in climate change, digital innovation, and maritime security.

The deals were inked during a summit between South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Ghanaian President John Mahama in Seoul.

The agreements include a climate-change cooperation accord, a memorandum of understanding on technology and digital innovation, and a maritime safety and security pact between the Korea Coast Guard and the Ghana Navy.

The two leaders also discussed expanding collaboration in economic security, agriculture, education, culture, and critical minerals.

Ghana, which holds significant reserves of bauxite, manganese, gold, lithium, and nickel, hopes to partner with South Korea to jointly explore these resources and strengthen value-chain cooperation.
