Popular Nigerian comedian and social media influencer, Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggy, has been hospitalised after sustaining a gunshot injury during a skit production in Ogun State.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon under the Sango-Ota bridge, with the exact circumstances still unclear.

According to police sources, Broda Shaggy was filming a comedy skit when he was shot, though details on how it happened are still emerging.

His crew quickly rushed him to Blooming Care Hospital in Lagos, where he received initial treatment, before being referred to Duchess Hospital in Ikeja for further care.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed they were alerted by the hospital about the gunshot victim and have mobilized detectives to investigate.

However, the Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, stated they hadn’t received an official report about the incident.

Broda Shaggy is known for his humorous content and has built a significant following on social media.

His hospitalization has sparked concern among fans and fellow comedians.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
