Professor Chukwuma Soludo has been sworn in for a second term as Governor of Anambra State, alongside his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Gilbert Ibezim.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the newly renovated Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, with dignitaries including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, and Goodluck Jonathan in attendance.
Soludo, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), won the November 8, 2025, governorship election with 422,664 votes, defeating his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress, who scored 99,445 votes.
The Chief Judge of the State, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu, administered the oaths of office and allegiance to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
