A devastating drone attack on El-Daein Teaching Hospital in East Darfur, Sudan, has killed 64 people, including 13 children, two nurses, and a doctor, and injured 89 others.
The attack, which occurred on Friday during Eid celebrations, has rendered the hospital non-functional, depriving thousands of vital medical care.
The World Health Organization (WHO) condemned the attack, saying “enough blood has been spilled” and urging an end to the nearly three-year conflict.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) blamed the Sudanese army for the attack, while the military denied involvement, citing international norms and laws.
The attack is part of a larger humanitarian crisis, with over 150,000 people killed and 12 million displaced since the conflict began in April 2023. The UN has called it the world’s largest humanitarian crisis.
