Nigeria and Finland have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in digitalisation, innovation, and cybersecurity.
The agreement, signed in Abuja, aims to drive economic growth, improve public service delivery, and promote inclusive innovation.
Key areas of collaboration include digital government, emerging technologies, digital public infrastructure, and capacity building.
Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Bosun Tijani, stated that the partnership will unlock opportunities for both countries, leveraging digital transformation for sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
Finland’s Under-Secretary of State, Jarno Syrjälä, emphasized Finland’s commitment to supporting Nigeria in building secure and resilient digital systems.
The MoU complements ongoing collaboration, including Finland’s role in the EU’s digital public services initiative in Nigeria.
