A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has discharged former Aviation Minister Stella Oduah and her aide Gloria Odita from a ₦2.5 billion fraud charge, following a plea bargain agreement with the Federal Government.
The court convicted two companies linked to Oduah, Sobora International Limited and Global Offshore and Marine Limited, and ordered their winding up.
The companies were accused of unlawfully possessing ₦838 million and ₦1.629 billion, respectively.
As part of the plea bargain, the companies pleaded guilty and agreed to forfeit ₦1.2 billion as restitution and ₦780 million recovered during the investigation to the Federal Government.
Justice Hamza Muazu struck out the earlier charge against Oduah and Odita, effectively discharging them from the case.
Oduah and Odita were initially arraigned in December 2025 on a five-count charge bordering on alleged fraud, obtaining by false pretence, and criminal breach of trust.
