The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that 32.72% of candidates who sat for the 2026 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) achieved credits in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
This represents 3,429 out of 10,480 candidates who participated in the nationwide examination.
The pass rate shows a 5.76% increase from 2025’s 26.96%. WAEC attributed the improvement to better candidate preparation and efforts to enhance examination conduct.
However, 75 candidates’ results were withheld due to alleged malpractice, currently under investigation.
