Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE have killed at least 10 suspected terrorists and recovered weapons and logistics supplies during coordinated clearance operations in parts of Plateau State.
The military, working alongside local vigilante groups under Operation WUTAN DAJI, carried out the offensive in Daba and Seri villages in Wase and Kanam Local Government Areas.
According to the Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force, Captain Chinonso Oteh, the operation followed credible intelligence on the movement of armed groups in the area.

He said troops established blocking positions between Dutsen Zaki and Odare Forest, where they intercepted a large group of terrorists travelling on motorcycles along a known route.
“The troops responded with superior and well-coordinated firepower, overwhelming the terrorists. Ten were neutralised, while others fled in disarray into the forest,” Oteh said.
He added that follow-up operations were launched after reports of an attack on commuters along the Razat–Kafi Abu axis, forcing the attackers to retreat into surrounding areas.
Troops later conducted cordon-and-search operations in nearby communities including Suma Suga and Takwok, where they recovered three AK-47 rifles, ammunition, motorcycles, and petrol stored in jerrycans believed to be for logistics support.
A national identity card and a photograph suspected to belong to the fleeing attackers were also recovered, which officials said would aid ongoing investigations.
Oteh said the operation marked a significant step in degrading criminal networks in the region, adding that troops would continue clearance operations to restore lasting peace.
He assured residents that the military remains committed to sustaining pressure on armed groups until normalcy is fully restored across affected areas.
The development comes amid recent violent attacks in Plateau State, including a deadly assault on Mbwelle village in Bokkos Local Government Area, which left several people dead.
