Mahmud Sadis Buba, popularly known as Abin Al-Ajabin Zazzau, has withdrawn from the race for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
The former aspirant announced his decision in a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Saturday, titled, “Re: Voluntary Withdrawal from the Race for Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, House of Representatives.”

Buba said his withdrawal followed consultations with family members, political associates and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, adding that the move was also influenced by ongoing reconciliation efforts within the party.

“Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am withdrawing from the race for Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, effective immediately,” he stated.
According to him, the decision was taken in the interest of unity within the APC and to enable the party present a united front ahead of the general election.

“This was not an easy decision. But it was hastened by the reconciliation efforts initiated by stakeholders and leaders of our party,” he added.
Buba expressed appreciation to the leadership of the APC in Kaduna State, including Governor Uba Sani, for allowing him to participate in the party’s nomination process.
“I want to thank the leader of our party, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, CON, and the leadership of the party in Kaduna State for the opportunity to have participated in the nomination process,” he said.
He also appealed to his supporters to remain calm and continue supporting the APC and its eventual candidate, describing his withdrawal as a sacrifice aimed at strengthening party cohesion rather than a sign of weakness.
“I ask my supporters to remain calm, united, and to throw their full weight behind the party’s decision and whoever emerges as the party’s candidate,” he said.
Buba reaffirmed his loyalty to the ruling party and pledged to work towards its success in future elections.
His withdrawal comes amid public discussions surrounding allegations of age falsification linked to conflicting documents circulating online, although no official indictment has been made against him.
The aspirant recently completed the APC screening process for the House of Representatives seat, where he attracted attention for his youthful appearance. During the exercise, he disclosed that he is 30 years old, the firstborn of nine children, and said he joined the race following appeals from members of his community to represent them.
