President Cyril Ramaphosa says South Africa will send special envoys to other African nations and beyond following recent xenophobic violence targeting immigrants from across the continent.

He announced the move Thursday in Pretoria after meeting Kenyan President William Ruto at the Union Buildings. The talks were part of Ruto’s state visit focused on strengthening economic and political ties between the two countries.
