Nigeria’s first group of citizens being brought home from South Africa will touch down at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Thursday morning.
The Federal Government confirmed Tuesday that the Air Peace flight will leave Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport Wednesday night, with an expected arrival time of 5:00 a.m. in Lagos.
The repatriation follows recent xenophobic attacks targeting Nigerians in South Africa. Kimiebi Ebienfa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced the schedule in a statement.
More details are expected as the flight approaches.
