A fire outbreak occurred on Thursday at a multi-storey building housing a branch of Polaris Bank on Broad Street, Lagos Island, Lagos State.
Videos circulating on social media showed thick plumes of smoke billowing from the building as residents, commuters and business operators gathered around the scene.
Emergency responders, including firefighters, were deployed to the area and were seen making efforts to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighbouring buildings.
The cause of the fire had yet to be determined as of the time of filing this report.
