The Federal Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has revealed that the preparations for the next 2027 African Games scheduled to be held in Egypt will begin immediately after a successful outing in Ghana.

The Nigerian Contingent arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport from Ghana on Sunday via chartered flights provided by the Ministry of Sport Development. However, the foreign-based athletes who were part of Nigeria’s success at the Games have also returned directly to their bases. Team Nigeria finished second on the medals table behind Egypt with 47 gold, 33 silver and 40 bronze medals competing in 25 of the 29 games in the AllAfricanGames.
