Nigeria international Raphael Onyedika is reportedly close to completing a permanent move to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt from Belgian champions Club Brugge.
According to German publication Kicker, negotiations between the two clubs have reached an advanced stage, with an agreement expected to be finalised early next week.
Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly prepared to pay €9 million to secure the services of the 25-year-old defensive midfielder.
Frankfurt have maintained a long-standing interest in Onyedika and have previously made two unsuccessful attempts to sign the Nigerian.
The midfielder further enhanced his reputation during last season’s UEFA Champions League campaign, scoring against Eintracht Frankfurt as Club Brugge secured an impressive victory over the German side.
Onyedika has enjoyed a successful spell at Club Brugge since joining the Belgian club, helping them win two Belgian Pro League titles, one Belgian Cup and one Belgian Super Cup.
A move to Frankfurt would mark the next step in the midfielder’s career as he prepares to make the switch to the Bundesliga.
