Nigerian Juju musician Janet Ajilore, popularly known as Saint Janet has reportedly died after a brief illness.

The musician, who was renowned for her vibrant live performances, energetic stage presence and socially themed party songs, was said to have been pronounced dead by medical experts.
A close associate of the deceased confirmed her death on Sunday, saying the artiste, who was also fondly known as “Mama Yabis,” died on Saturday.

The source said the family is yet to issue an official statement on her death.
Saint Janet’s reported demise marks the end of a career that earned her recognition across Nigeria, particularly in the South-West, where she built a strong following.

Known for blending Juju and Highlife music with witty social commentary, the late musician became a familiar presence at parties, celebrations and other social gatherings.
Her boldness, spontaneity and ability to connect with audiences through music and humour also contributed to her popularity and rise in the Nigerian music scene.
