Defending champions Enugu Rangers will begin their 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League title defence with a home clash against Katsina United on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, popularly known as the Cathedral, in Enugu.

Rangers won the NPFL title for a record ninth time last season and will be aiming to make a strong start as they begin their campaign for another championship.
Former champions Shooting Stars, meanwhile, will face newly promoted Inter Lagos in the opening fixture of the new NPFL season.

The South-West derby will be played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Friday, August 28.
The match will be a historic occasion for Inter Lagos as they make their first appearance in Nigeria’s top flight following their promotion from the Nigeria National League last season.

The remaining Matchday One fixtures will be played across different venues on Sunday, August 30.
