Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo State, formally endorsed the 2024 Appropriation bill into law this evening, following its prior approval by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

The budget for the fiscal year 2024 stands at a grand total of N395,257,000,000.00 Billion, with N172,997,172,500.00 billion allocated for recurrent expenditure and N222,259,827,500.00 billion earmarked for capital expenditure.

Subsequently, an increment of N10,724,000,000 billion was approved in the final budget.

The Ondo State House of Assembly had previously referred the 2024 budget proposal to the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation. The committee conducted a thorough examination and defence by MDAs, concluding this process last week.

Acting as Governor, Aiyedatiwa had presented the initial budget proposal of N384,533 billion for the 2024 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly on the preceding Friday.
