Salem Bazoum, son of the ousted Niger President Mohamed Bazoum, secured a provisional release on Monday as confirmed by a Niamey military tribunal.
The 22-year-old, previously held with his parents since the coup on July 26, 2023, now awaits justice whenever required.
Meanwhile, his parents remain detained at the presidential residence. Since the overthrow, Niger has been under military rule, distancing itself from European allies and aligning with Mali and Burkina Faso.
