Confirming the incident, the Head of Operations of the Federal Fire Service in Borno State, Mohammed Kafaran, said emergency personnel had been deployed to the affected locations.

He explained that the agency had sent a response team to the Monday Market area to assess the situation and support rescue efforts.

Eyewitnesses said several victims sustained injuries in the blasts and were immediately rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

One witness said some bodies were seen at the scene, while many of the wounded were taken to the Borno State Specialist Hospital for urgent medical care.

Another resident, who requested anonymity, described hearing a loud explosion shortly after leaving the post office in the area.

Emergency responders are continuing rescue and assessment operations, while authorities are yet to confirm the exact number of casualties. More details are expected as the situation develops.
