2023 Nigeria Professional Football League Champions, Enyimba lost the Abia State FA Cup Final against their local rivals, Abia Warriors on Sunday after a 1-1 draw which ended 4-2 on penalties at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

Abia Warriors took the lead in the 35th minute of the game via Meme Okike to take the lead into the Second Half. In the 73rd minute, Joseph Atule scored the equalizer for Enyimba but it wasn’t enough as they eventually lost 4-2 on Penalties.

Federation Cup Champions, Bendel Insurance beat One Star FC 3-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium to take the state title. Evans Ogbonda scored a brace for the defending champions in the 36th and 84th minute. In the 72nd minute, Substitute, Meyinwa scored a second goal to extend the lead before One Stars pulled a goal back in the 81st minute.

In South-West, Nigeria National League side, Ikorodu City FC won the state FA Cup for the second time in a row beating Inter Lagos 2-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. Ikorodu City scored a goal each in both halves through Uzondu Austin and Tosin Oyedokun to see off the team that defeated Sporting Lagos in the Semi-Final.

The Winners of the Viareggio Cup, Beyond Limits won the Ogun State FA Cup with a 3-2 Win over Stormers FC at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta. Beyond Limits who defeated Remo Stars last week on penalties to advance to the final scored the first goal in the third minute before Stormers FC equalized from the Penalty spot. The match was an exciting one as the first half ended 2-2. Second-half substitute, Sunday Ogbonnaya scored the winner with a volley inside the box for Beyond Limits, four minutes after replacing the injured Farouq Ogundare.
