South African Forward, Haashim Domingo has referred an ongoing payment dispute with the football club he plays for, Raja Casablanca to the World Football governing body, FIFA.
The South African joined the Club in July 2023 on a free transfer after leaving South African Club, Mamelodi Sundowns but his agent has confirmed that the player is owed several months’ wages and signing-on fee since joining.

Lance Davids revealed, “We have been in talks to try to settle this behind closed doors and amicably with the Raja Casablanca, but we are deadlocked at the moment and the only way forward seems to be taking our matter to FIFA,”. “This is usually the last resort. Haashim was excited to join the North African giants after the period he spent with Mamelodi Sundowns, where he would have loved to continue playing but it wasn’t to be. We are hoping for a speedy outcome from FIFA.”
It’s a calculated move by Domingo’s representative as the authorities in Switzerland can slap Raja with a transfer ban for a payment dispute. As a foreign international, this route guarantees FIFA will give the case attention and ask questions of Raja in the coming weeks.
According to reports in Morocco, Raja Casablanca Club’s new president, Mohamed Boudrika had made an undertaking when he was elected for the top seat to wipe out Raja’s debt – one that had led to a separate FIFA sanction, which was eventually lifted in 2023. Raja Casablanca are coached by former Orlando Pirates and Lokomotiv Moscow Manager, Józef Zinnbauer, who recruited Fadlu Davids as his assistant and the pair are in a tight race with AS FAR for the Botola Pro championship with six matches remaining.

Domingo joined Raja on a two-year deal with an option of extension by another season, but FIFA could rule the player can terminate the contract as just cause and order that he also be paid in full.
“There is no decision made yet. We will wait on FIFA’s directive regarding this current dispute before we confirm our next step. Haashim just wants to play football and of course, make a decent living from for his young family,” Davids added.
