Victor Mbaoma, a former Nigeria Premier Football League striker, clinched the Rwanda league title on Saturday with APR FC.

After aiding Katsina United’s return to the NPFL, Mbaoma moved to Rwanda last summer.

A crucial long-range strike from winger, Gilbert Mugisha sealed the 1-0 victory for Thierry Froger’s team over rivals, Kiyovu SC.
Despite battling injuries this season, Mbaoma still managed to notch double-digit goals for his club.

APR FC, the army side, has now secured their 22nd league title with 63 points and three games left in the season, setting a new club record.
