The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned its members who have expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027 to retrace their steps or face stiffer sanctions.
The PDP National Working Committee (NWC) expressed dismay over the persistent public media outbursts against the party by some prominent members, whose actions and utterances, including their declaration of support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), violate the PDP constitution.
The party cited Section 10 (6) of its constitution, which prohibits members from aligning with other parties or groups to undermine the party or any of its elected governments.
The NWC urged its members to remain loyal and focused, and to work towards the successful conduct of the PDP National Convention scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan.
