The immense demand for tickets highlights the growing interest in African club football. As a result, CAF and the host club, Al Ahly, are reinforcing safety and security measures in and around Cairo International Stadium. The final will be broadcast in over 90 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, Europe, America, and the South Pacific. Football fans worldwide will be able to watch the match in their own languages on various CAF platforms.

Leading global broadcasters include CAF’s traditional partners: beIN Sport (MENA, Europe, America, South Pacific), Canal+, and New World TV. In Africa, several free-to-air broadcasters such as SABC, Azam Media, AfroSport, and others will air the final.

Al Ahly are unbeaten in their last 19 CAF Champions League matches winning 12 and 7 draws, keeping 16 clean sheets and conceding only three goals. Espérance Sportive de Tunis are unbeaten in their last five Champions League knockout round matches, keeping clean sheets in all with 2 wins and 3 draws; they last achieved six consecutive clean sheets in such matches in October 2012.

Espérance will be aiming to win the competition for the first time since 2019 when they beat Wydad AC to secure a second consecutive title. Al Ahly seeks to achieve an 11th victory for Egyptian sides in the CAF Champions League final, more than twice as many as any other nation. Espérance on the other hand, can secure Tunisia’s fifth win in the competition, making it the outright second-most successful nation.

The first leg of the encounter ended goalless in Tunisia.
