In Gwoza town, Borno State, two devastating suicide bombings have led to numerous fatalities and injuries.

The first explosion occurred at a wedding venue in Tashan Mararaba, where a female bomber carrying a baby detonated an IED, killing at least seven guests and injuring many others.

Shortly after, a second bomber, disguised as a mourner, attacked a funeral gathering in Gwoza LGA, resulting in one additional death and 16 injuries.

In response to these incidents, the military has enforced a curfew in Gwoza to prevent further threats. The state police have yet to issue a formal statement regarding the attacks.
