South Africa’s legendary football coach, Pitso Mosimane has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

This accolade celebrates his exceptional contributions to the sport and his unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.
Mosimane began his coaching career in 1995 and has led teams such as Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, Bafana Bafana, Al Ahly SC in Egypt, Al Ahli, and Abha FC in Saudi Arabia.

In 2022, he established the Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools, dedicated to nurturing young soccer talent across Africa.

Beyond his coaching roles, Mosimane is a passionate advocate for African football, significantly impacting the development of young African players. His leadership and achievements have not only paved the way for other African coaches but have also elevated the status of African football on the global stage
