According to a statement from Police Spokesman ASP Abubakar Sadiq, the arrests were made by officers from the Jibia divisional police headquarters during a routine patrol in collaboration with the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC) and local hunters.

The suspects admitted to receiving the animals from a notorious bandit leader named Nura, who remains at large, and were en route to sell them at Magama Market.

The statement also noted that the suspects have confessed to frequently receiving and disposing of rustled animals from the bandit leader. Authorities are continuing efforts to capture the fleeing bandit as the investigation progresses.
