Amid a backdrop of heightened tension, the counter-protesters voiced their opposition to the planned demonstrations, which have been called in response to Nigeria’s ongoing economic struggles.

Various organizations, political figures, and religious leaders have also urged Nigerians to avoid participating in the hunger protests, advocating for alternative solutions.

The mood on Lagos Island was a stark contrast to the recent unrest seen in other parts of the country. Earlier today, a hunger protest took place in Niger State, highlighting the escalating frustrations of many Nigerians facing severe economic hardship.

However, the “Say No To Protest” event in Lagos Island aimed to shift the focus towards constructive dialogue and positive change, underscoring the diverse range of responses to Nigeria’s current challenges.

The peaceful counter-protest in Lagos Island not only showcased the city’s commitment to addressing the economic crisis but also emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in navigating the nation’s difficulties.
