The statement detailed, “The command’s attention was drawn to a video from a TikTok account identified as ‘dam-mallam68’. In the video, the suspect was seen inciting the public to attack security operatives and destroy critical state and private infrastructure in Plateau State as part of the protest activities.”

Upon receiving this information, Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, mobilized the command’s tactical units to trace and apprehend the source of the video. Following intelligence reports, the suspect was trailed and arrested. He has since confessed to creating the inciting video.

The Commissioner of Police emphasized that the police would vigorously oppose any efforts by individuals to create chaos in the state. He stressed the importance of maintaining peace before, during, and after the protests.

CP Adesina urged citizens to remain law-abiding, avoid making inciting comments, and report any suspicious activities to the police to ensure the continued security and stability of Plateau State.
