On Thursday, President William Ruto officiated the swearing-in ceremony for new Cabinet Secretaries at State House in Nairobi. The event was attended by senior state officials and the families of the newly appointed ministers.
Among those sworn in were Interior and National Administration CS Kithure Kindiki, Defence CS Soipan Tuya, National Treasury CS John Mbadi, Public Service CS Justin Muturi, and Environment, Climate Change and Forestry CS Aden Duale.
Following them were Lands CS Alice Wahome, Education CS Julius Ogamba, Transport CS Davis Chirchir, and Tourism and Wildlife CS Rebecca Miano. The ceremony also included Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs CS Hassan Joho, Labour and Social Protection CS Alfred Mutua, Water and Sanitation CS Eric Muuga, and Investment, Trade, and Industry CS Salim Mvurya.
Health CS Debra Barasa and Youth Affairs and Sports CS Kipchumba Murkomen were sworn in, along with Ministry of Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi, ICT and Digital Economy CS Margaret Nyambura, Cooperatives CS Wycliffe Oparanya, and Agriculture and Livestock Development CS Andrew Karanja.
President Ruto had officially gazetted their appointments the previous day after receiving approval from the National Assembly.
