The Otun Olubadan of Ibadan land and former governor Oyo State, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja on Monday, August 12 receive the beaded crown, exactly a month after the installation of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin as Olubadan.
Ladoja was crowned by Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadan land.

Ladoja had earlier rejected the beaded crown when other members of the Olubadan-in-Council were crowned by the late Oba Mahood Lekan Balogun.

He also dragged the Oyo State government and the Olubadan-in Council to court over the development.
This reportedly led to a rancour within the Olubadan-in-Council.
However recently, the former governor made a u-turn, announced on a radio station in Ibadan that he accepted to receive and wear beaded crown as part of the new requirements to ascend the coveted throne of Olubadan.
