Former Chelsea and Nigerian international, Mikel Obi, issued a sharp retort to Senegal and Chelsea striker, Nicholas Jackson, saying that, “Keep scoring and I’ll shut up.”

This comment comes amid ongoing tensions between the two, sparked by Obi’s earlier criticism of Jackson’s goal-scoring ability. Obi made the statement on his podcast, The Obi One, on Monday.

Previously, during Chelsea’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City, the 37-year-old had critiqued Jackson’s finishing on beIN Sport, saying, “We created chances, we haven’t taken them. And just an example of how Jackson finishes.”

In response, the Senegalese striker fired back on Instagram, writing, “Mikel Obi, shut your mouth, don’t talk sh*t, we are killing ourselves for Africa,” expressing his frustration with the criticism.
