Nigeria and 2023 African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen has arrived in Turkey ahead of his loan move to Galatasaray from Napoli.

Napoli has finalized a one-year loan deal with Turkish club, Galatasaray for Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen. The Super Eagles arrived Turkey around 4am for his presentation to Galatasaray fans.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s post on his X handle Monday night, Napoli’s release clause for Osimhen has been lowered from €130 million to €75 million. The deal also includes an option for Napoli to extend the player’s contract until 2027.

Under the loan agreement, which runs until June 2025, Galatasaray will cover Osimhen’s €9/10 million salary.

This move concludes the transfer saga involving Osimhen, Chelsea, and Saudi club Al Ahli. After the Saudi deal fell through, negotiations between Napoli and Chelsea collapsed late in the transfer window, leaving Osimhen in a tough spot.

He was also excluded from Napoli’s squad for the season, which would have left him without football until the next transfer window.
