Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel has returned to training ahead of Fenerbahçe’s highly anticipated Istanbul derby against Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray.

The match will take place at the Ulker Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Saturday. Osayi-Samuel, who had been out for three games due to an injury sustained against Rizespor on August 25th, shared a training photo at Fenerbahçe’s Can Bartu Training Facilities on Tuesday. The injury also forced him to miss Nigeria’s AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda, with Benjamin Taminu replacing him in the squad.

His return comes just in time for the derby, where he will face off against Osimhen, who recently joined Galatasaray on loan. Osimhen made an immediate impact for his new club, providing an assist in their 5-0 win over Caykur Rizespor. Both players will be looking to make their mark in the fierce local rivalry.
Osayi-Samuel will be focused on stopping Osimhen while solidifying his place in the Fenerbahçe squad.
