State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, welcomed the French Ambassador-Designate to Ethiopia, Alexis LeMek, during a meeting at his office today.
The two diplomats explored ways to enhance bilateral relations, with a particular focus on expanding trade, investment, and economic cooperation between their nations.
Ambassador Mesganu reaffirmed Ethiopia’s dedication to deepening ties with France, highlighting the country’s potential for growth and extending an invitation to French investors.
He acknowledged France’s role as a strategic partner and praised the strengthening relationship between the two nations.
The State Minister also expressed gratitude for France’s support in Ethiopia’s macroeconomic reforms and its backing in Ethiopia’s bid to join the World Trade Organization (WTO).
In response, Ambassador Alexis LeMek emphasized France’s continued support for Ethiopia’s economic reforms and expressed his commitment to further bolstering the economic partnership between the two countries.
