CAF and FIFA were invited to participate, with FIFA represented by Gelson Fernandes, Director of Member Associations in Africa.

Mosengo-Omba commented, “I had the honor of meeting with His Excellency President Talon, along with the FIFA Delegation and the Football Leadership of Benin. President Talon has invited CAF President, Dr. Motsepe to discuss the development of football in Africa and Benin.

This is aligned with President Motsepe’s vision to strengthen partnerships between football and governments, and to improve football infrastructure across Africa. We are seeing a positive response from African leaders to this call, and we look forward to the discussions ahead.”
