Nigeria and Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen made a strong impact in Galatasaray’s 3-0 win over Antalyaspor on Saturday.

After returning from injury, Osimhen came on as a substitute for Yunus Akgün in the 78th minute to a warm reception from the fans. By that time, Galatasaray had already taken control of the match, with Mauro Icardi securing a brace earlier in the game.

The on-loan Napoli striker had been sidelined following a 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa, where Osimhen netted twice in just eight minutes, marking a return to form after a brief goal drought.

He also began solo training as part of his recovery. During the international break, Galatasaray released a video showing Osimhen working individually, fueling optimism about his return.

A post from the club’s official X (formerly Twitter) account read: “Victor Osimhen worked separately from the team within the scope of a special programme prepared for him.

Osimhen wasted no time proving his worth upon his return, scoring a beautiful overhead kick in the 92nd minute to seal Galatasaray’s dominance.
