Matchday 2 of the AFINNI Unity Cup kicks off today at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, with Pike/Forsythe taking on Okepopo/Amuto in the first match of the day.
In the second match, Okesuna/Abitifa will face off against Phase 3/4, while last tournament finalists, Massey/Carena, look to improve on their previous performance when they go up against Tinubu/Luther in the third match.
The day’s action will conclude with Faji/Evans taking on Campus/Popo Aguda. The winners of these matches will advance to the quarterfinals, joining the four teams that progressed from the first round.
Matchday 1 saw a total of 21 goals, with defending champions Odunfa/Ricca defeating Epetedo East 2-0. Other teams advancing from Matchday 1 include Ebute Elefun/Sura, Araromi, and Anikantanmo/Swamp.
